VAT Refund at the Airport

Reviewed 2011-02-28 21:28:40 NEW

Bangkok is a great place to shop! Apart from sometimes incredible low prices you can also enjoy the benefits of discount cards at many malls and department stores. Then there's a 7% VAT refund scheme on luxury goods. Show your goods to the VAT inspector before you go into the transit area of the Bangkok Airport. Then proceed inside the transit area to the VAT refund counter. You will enjoy instant cash back if the amount is not too high, otherwise you will get your refund through a credit card transaction. Dont forget to claim your VAT next time. Its a great bargain!
