Dubai is one of the 7 emirates in the UAE federation.  Its strategic location makes for an important trading hub and port.  Historically, the emirate’s main source of income was through the oil industry, but today, tourism, aviation, real estate and financial services have taken over as the main drivers of economy.

Dubai is the 22nd most expensive city in the world, and the 1st among the Middle Eastern cities.  It’s known for the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, as well as the man made islands “The Palm Islands” and “The World”.  The islands of “The World” are for sale, so if you have enough money, you can buy one of the “countries” for yourself!  If not, you can still partake in what Dubai has to offer, such as:

  1. Dubai Marina Yacht Club
Come enjoy the scenic view from the marina with breakfast to begin your day, a drink after work, or dress for a stylish dinner and bask in the extravagance of your surroundings.  This is the all in one stop for viewing architectural excellence and tasting culinary superiority.
  2. Burj Al Arab
The complete resort experience.  You can arrange to arrive in a helicopter to get the bird’s eye view of the city, hire a butler to pour your drinks, a chauffer to drive you around in a rolls Royce, or rent your dream car!  A private infinity pool and private beach access ensure exclusivity and luxury.  The spa has a complete list of services to allow for a most relaxing stay.  This is where you need to be if you’re going to be in Dubai.
  3. Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve
Go and experience the unspoiled desert and the natural heritage of Dubai.  This is the first national park within the UAE and as the rapid development of Dubai continues, it will become more important to remember and conserve what the land used to look like.  Believe it or not, the desert is full of life.  Come see what it has to offer.
  4. Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding
Through education and understanding, we can change the world.  This is an educational site, which helps foreigners to better understand the culture, customs and religion of the United Arab Emirate people.  Come have a traditional meal, take a creekside tour, or explore a Mosque.  There is only one Mosque in Dubai, which is open to the public, and you can experience it with this organization!
  5. Al Sahra Desert Resort
If you’re looking for desert, but would still like to stay somewhere nice, this is your place.  It offers Desert Riding, Livery, Lessons, School Tours and Corporate Team Building Activities.   It’s an experience of Arabian hospitality, heritage and culture in the natural desert atmosphere.
  6. Xxtremesimulation
This comes very highly recommended.  Feed your need for speed, power and control!  This is the most advanced racing simulation center in Dubai, and it will actually give you the feeling you’re in the driver’s seat of an F1 racecar!!
  7. 360° Lounge
Experience one of the best clubs in the world.  Surrounded by water with an ultra chic interior and exceptional lounge/terrace area, this place screams sophistication.  Only the most respected and well-known DJ’s are allowed to spin at this venue.  Have a drink, shisha, and chat up the other good-looking people around!
  8. Zuma
Your Japanese experience away from Japan.  It was designed by Tokyo based Noriyoshi Muramatsu.  The restaurant balances the elements of fire, earth, water, air, wood and iron to achieve harmony.  Have some sushi, sake and relax and enjoy the view of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
  9. Helicopter Tour Dubai
Experience the major sites of Dubai from the air.  It’s one of the best ways to appreciate the magnificence of the architectural structures of the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and of course, the man made islands of ‘The Palms” and “The World”.
  10. Madinat Jumeirah
This is a resort on “The Palm,” and a symbol that the golden age has definitely returned.  A great place to shop for major labels and eat among the world’s elite.  This is the epitome of opulence and extravagance.  No trip to Dubai is complete without a visit to this place.
