Description

Location. Originally built as a restaurant in 1863, the boutique Berns Hotel sits in the middle of Stockholm, Sweden, 600 meters from the narrow, cobbled streets of Gamla stan, the old town section of the city. This historic area contains the Royal Palace, which was built in the 18th century after the previous palace burned down. The Skansen open air museum, known for its annual festivities and zoo specializing in Scandinavian wildlife, is located one kilometer away.
Grona Lund Amusement Park lies one kilometer away, along with the popular Vasa Museum, which showcases the only intact 17th century ship, the Vasa, that was pulled from the chilly waters of Stockholm's harbor. Arlanda Airport is located 40 kilometers away.

Hotel Features. The contemporary Berns Restaurant features an Asian influenced menu accompanied by live jazz, and guests can also enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts each morning. Guests can unwind with martinis at one of the hotel's three bars or make use of the provided complimentary access to a nearby fitness center.

The Berns Hotel houses several banquet facilities that can seat up to 1,250 people. The hotel also contains a business center and offers cell phone rentals. High speed Internet access is available in public areas.

Expert Tip. For spectacular panoramic views of the city, guests should head to the Gondolen restaurant, about 800 meters from the hotel.
