The man responsible for single-handedly revitalising the Thai silk industry, Jim Thompson, was also renowned for his expansive nature and gracious hospitality. His house by the river was always full of good food and good cheer. At MyThai, we aspire to recapture that combination of authentic Thai home cooking and warm conviviality in a homely setting, reminding diners of the earthy origins of the fragrant herbs and spices that flavour their meal. It is our sincere hope that you will come and frequent our establishment as a regular, and in no time, feel perfectly at home here – as Mr Thompson's guests undoubtedly did when they sat down to a generous repast at his table. In the lilting Thai language, the sound of our name also means 'wood', 'fire' and 'silk' - depending on subtle nuances of pronunciation. Wood furnishes our restaurant; fire heats our woks; and silk ripples through our history. Please think of MyThai as your home away from home. Whenever you dine here, you are among friends.
