To feel like you are on top of the world, hit up these sky-high spots in Bangkok.

  1. Nest

Retreat to the hippest unflustered rooftop lounge found above Le Fenix Hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 11, smack in the center of Bangkok's premier entertainment district - yet transcendent of the chaos below.

Arrive at sunset, slink onto something more comfortable and unwind with 6pm until 8pm twilight spirit revivers. Select from a range of seasonally changing, expertly crafted cocktails offering the choicest of tropical fruits. Share a party punch or one of our signature martinis served in a stem less and chilled glass and re-adjust your tempo with early evening lounge, soul, funk, R&B, and disco mixes whilst reclining on comfortable cushion lounge seating  or just lay back  in one of our intimate bed-style seating pods.

  2. Above 11
This bar restaurant is located on the same road as Cheap Charlie’s.  Sukhumvit soi 11 is a fabulous street to walk down in the evening, lined with food stalls, mini van bars and numerous restaurants.  Above 11 is one of the more high-end bars, located on the 33rd floor of the Fraser Suites.  The rooftop bar overlooks Bangkok in all its vibrant glory, and the menu is a fusion of Peruvian Japanese.  Come for the view, the food, the cocktails and a little bit of theme music!  Wednesdays are salsa night, and this place is packed with salseros whisking the ladies all over the dance floor.  Thursday is relaxed jazz, with a live quintet band beginning at 9pm.  Fridays are popular evenings to come as they have a NYC DJ spinning some of the greatest tunes from De La Soul and more.  Saturdays will only be appreciated by the truly cool, because it’s 80’s night.  What do you know about that?

  3. Sirocco @ Lebua Hotel
The world’s highest open-air restaurant.  The dining experience is unforgettable, both for the price and the view.  If you’re not looking to have dinner here, Sky Bar is located right next to the dining venue.  Even though Bangkok is normally quite hot, if you go in the evening, a light sweater is recommended because it’s pretty breezy up there on the 63rd floor!  This bar was also made famous by the movie “The Hangover 2”.  It’s worth going for the experience (and pictures for Facebook), but you may only be able to have one or two drinks here.
